8 UP policemen shot dead: Another horrific news comes in, as 8 UP policemen were shot dead earlier today at Dikru village, 150 km away from the capital city of Lucknow. Among the 8 policemen- Devendra Kumar Mishra- Superintendent of police, three sub-inspectors and four constables were brutally shot dead by the accomplices of Vikas Dubey. In the shootout, two shooters were also killed by the police officials.

The wanted criminal, Vikas Dubey since the past twenty years has been charged with 60 criminal cases including kidnapping, rioting, murders, and extortion. As per the Dinesh Kumar, Kanpur’s police chief, the intention was to arrest the wanted criminal Vikas Dubey from his village Dikru, but there were an ambush and the accomplices fired at the officers from the roofs from three sides. It was a planned attack.

As the tragic news of 8 UP policemen shot dead moves around, the Director General of Police (DGP) of Uttar Pradesh HC Awasthi said in a statement that Vikas Dubey and his men had planned this horrific attack, had put roadblocks on the routes leading to the village and a bulldozer was planted for blocking the road indicating it was an organised ambush.

But when the bulldozer and other roadblocks were removed, then the cops could manage to get into the village and the shooters were ready to fire from the roof. The visuals from nearby areas showed ambulances bringing the wounded cops and the road taken to reach the village splatters in blood.

To this horrifying attack, Chief Minister of UP, Yogi Adityanath has condoned the deaths and has asked for an incident report.
