As per reports, Patna has the maximum number of cases across the state and around 713 people have tested corona positive so far. The number of cases has suddenly increased from the last 10 days in the Paliganj sub-division. As per DM, an inquiry will be made in Deehpali village as there was a marriage ceremony which lead to the rise of cases.
DM stated that strict action will be taken against the people for violating social distancing rules. It should be noted that the groom died after two days of his wedding as he was suffering from fever. However, it was not confirmed whether he was suffering from corona as the family performed last rites without giving his samples. Later, 259 samples were taken out of which 95 tested corona positive.
Bihar has 38 districts and out of these only two districts have reported fewer cases. Apart from Patna, districts like Bhagalpur Madhubani, Begusarai, and Siwan have reported around 500 cases. However, Bihar’s recovery rate is 77 percent and a total of 2.20 lakh samples have been collected to date.
