Ahead of monsoon season, the Director-General of Police Dilbagh Singh and senior Border Security Force (BSF) officials visited Indo-Pak border on Tuesday to check the security situation in Jammu division’s Samba district.
During the visit, DGP Dilbagh Singh rewarded the BSF team as they shot a Pakistani drone last week in Kathua district’s Hiranagar sector which was loaded with rifles and seven grenades. During the visit, the DGP was accompanied by inspector-general (IG), Jammu, BSF, and senior officers.
DGP, BSF IG visit Indo-Pak border, read details
As the monsoon will begin in Jammu and Kashmir soon, the team of senior officials visited Indo-Pak border areas along with the Basantar river bed to ensure the security of civilians. During the visit, DIG also advised flood protection work in the area.
It should be noted that many Pakistani terrorists use river beds to enter India via the LOC and IB despite 24 hours surveillance. As we are all aware, more than 100 militants have been killed by Indian troops this year and Jammu and Kashmir police carry on with the operations to kill the rest of the militants involved with IS or LeT.
