Earthquake alert! As per the National Centre of Seismology (NCS), an earthquake of magnitude 3.5 has struct the Maharashtra region about an hour back. Since past few months earthquakes of a magnitude of 3 to 5 have been reported in the near about areas of the country.
Yesterday there was news of earthquake hitting the Andaman and Nicobar islands, before that in Mizoram, where the 4.3 magnitude was the 9th earthquake which was reported in just one month.
Talking about the recent earthquake whose main base was Satara district in Maharashtra, where the low-intensity earthquake hit. The tremors were felt in nearby areas such as Mumbai.

There have been no damage received or identified to property or human life but more details on the same are awaited. As per uproots, the people of Satara district in Maharashtra, the epicentre of earthquake after feeling the tremors left their homes and rushed outside.
