Hoteliers in Goa are irritated with the state government for not restarting their business during Unlock 1 as they incurred huge losses amid coronavirus pandemic. Hoteliers have already submitted applications to the government but haven’t got any response yet.

According to The Travel and Tourism Association of Goa, Hoteliers took special permission from the state government but they have not been given any green light yet.

As per government guidelines, many hotels and restaurants assumed business on June 8 after the Unlock 1 started. Metropolitan cities have already started their business but the state government is not giving permission to Goa hoteliers. They will resume the work as soon as the government gives permission.

Goa hoteliers annoyed by the state government, know why?

The applications are being submitted from June 8 but no action is being taken. It should be noted that all the hotels are ready to follow the guidelines given by the central government, they are also ready for the inspection.

More than 200 hotels have applied to reopen and huge losses have been incurred as the business has been closed from March.
