Poor villager of Jammu and Kashmir gets an electricity bill of Rs 10 crore
After getting the bill, the resident told villagers he would have paid the amount if god had been kind to him as the large amount would have improved Union Territory’s revenue. He belongs to the remotest villages of Poonch.
The poor man went to the village sarpanch to get the bill cleared. According to Rahul Yadav who is the Poonch district commissioner, the bill will be rectified as it was a clerical mistake. The exact cause of the bill can be justified by the PDD but it could be a computer error or the reading must have been punched twice. The electricity bill was sent from the AEE office.
