Jharkhand Minister: Coronavirus has affected many countries across the world including India which has entered the list of top 3 worst-hit countries. Maharashtra and Delhi have been affected by COVID-19 badly. As per reports, a Jharkhand Minister was tested positive for coronavirus.
A Cabinet Minister of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) quota was admitted to Ranchi’s Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) hospital recently. On Tuesday, another JMM lawmaker was tested positive for COVID-19 and is under treatment in Dhanbad.
As per reports, the two Jharkhand Ministers who are infected with the virus came in contact with other party MLAs, state officers, and the Cheif Minister Hemant Soren. It seems deadly coronavirus has reached the corridors of power. Samples of the Minister and his wife were checked at Ranchi’s Sadar Hospital, it should be noted that Minister was found positive but his wife’s test was negative.
Jharkhand Minister gets infected with coronavirus
According to officials, the Jharkhand Minister had thrown a housewarming party after moving to his new residence in Ranchi and many friends and relatives attended the ceremony. Later, the minister had health issues and went for coronavirus test.
Meanwhile, Jharkhand has a total of 3,056 cases so far. 179 new cases were registered on Tuesday and 2,104 patients have been discharged. The state has recorded 22 deaths.
