After creating huge havoc, Kerala gold smuggling scandal main suspects have been caught and will soon surrender or will be extracted.

The main suspects who have been the masterminds behind the Kerala gold smuggling scandal via diplomatic baggage are- Swapna Suresh, who used to arrange diplomatic papers for consignment delivery.

The second accused is Sarith Kumar, who currently is in custody, he too worked with Swapna in arranging paperwork, third accused is Swapna Suresh’s friend Sandeep Nair, and the fourth accused is UAE smuggling main person- Fazil Pareed.

National Investigation Agency (NIA) which works closely on terror security-based issues for the very first time were assigned a gold smuggling case after it created havoc over the national security breach.

Kerala government, about a day back, agreed to give as much support as possible for investigating the matter as soon as possible. NIA was assigned subsequently to handle the case.

It is expected that the main accused Swapna Suresh who is currently underground and Sandeep will surrender soon, and UAE based smuggling main person Pareed will be extracted.

The Kerala gold smuggling scandal as per NIA was an organised crime, and a very well arranged smuggling operation.

The 30 kg gold bag was seized at the Thiruvanthumpuram airport after customs got a tip of diplomatic baggage being used for scandalous operations.
