Lockdown will not be extended in worst-hit states Delhi, Maharashtra

Delhi: After the central government's order of Unlock 1, there has been a wide rise in coronavirus cases across the country. Around 10,000 cases are being reported on a daily basis and the condition has become worst in metropolitan cities like Delhi, Maharashtra.

Delhi: After the central government’s order of Unlock 1, there has been a wide rise in coronavirus cases across the country. Around 10,000 cases are being reported on a daily basis and the condition has become worst in metropolitan cities like Delhi, Maharashtra.

There were rumors that the government might extend the lockdown again in Delhi, Maharastra but CM Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray cleared the doubts saying lockdown has not been imposed in the city but people are requested to stay home and maintain social distancing.

Lockdown to be imposed in Delhi, Maharashtra again?

It should be noted that currently, India has reported 2,98,283 cases, and daily around 10,000 fresh infections are being noted. Talking about Maharashtra, it has the highest number of cases among all the states. Around 97,648 cases, out of which 47,980 are active cases and 3,590 deaths, which constitutes 32 percent of the total coronavirus infections across the country.

CM Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray took to Twitter and shut down the rumors about the total lockdown. He also requested people to maintain the norms ordered by the government and wear masks while going out of the house. CM also stated that all the news about the lockdown extension is fake and no such decision has been taken by the government yet.

On the other hand, large numbers of coronavirus cases are being reported in Delhi and right now the condition of Delhi hospitals is horrific. However, the Delhi Government made it clear that lockdown will not be extended. Delhi has 34,687 number of cases and is the third worst-hit state in India.

Coronavirus has affected many countries across the world and to make the economic condition better government has eased the lockdown. But it should be noted that lockdown has not been extended by Delhi, Maharashtra.
