Manmohan Singh admitted to AIIMS, Ashok Gehlot expresses concern

In 2009, he underwent successful coronary bypass surgery at the AIIMS in Delhi.


Former Prime Minister of India, Manmohan Singh, was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi on Sunday evening after he complained of uneasiness. Manmohan Singh’s, who is aged 87, is under observation at the cardio ward of the hospital, reports said.

Reports quoted a source close to him as saying that all the parameters of the former prime minister are okay and that he is under observation. Manmohan Singh was admitted at around 8.45 pm under Dr. Nitish Naik, who is a professor of cardiology at the hospital.

Manmohan Singh’s, who was the prime minister of India between 2004 and 2014, is a senior leader of the opposition Congress party and is currently a Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha from Rajasthan.

In the past also, Manmohan Singh has had heart issues. In 2009, he underwent successful coronary bypass surgery at the AIIMS in Delhi.

The gentleman prime minister, as several people call him, once said: “I was called a silent PM, but I wasn’t afraid of talking to the press.”

Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot expresses concern.

Rajasthan chief minister and senior veteran Congress leader Ashok Gehlot on Sunday expressed concern over the health of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s. Gehlot tweeted that he is worried over the situation and condition of the former prime minister.
