Minto Bridge in the heart of Delhi was closed a few days back after waterlogging amid heavy rains. As per reports, the Minto Bridge has reopened for commuters and people in the capital now travel easily. Delhi Traffic Police had asked commuters to use some different routes earlier but now it has reopened.

As per reports, the Minto Bridge has reopened for commuters and people in the capital now travel easily. As per reports, the traffic movement is normal under the underpass below Minto Bridge. Delhi witnessed heavy rainfall in NCR which lead to water-logging in several areas. According to the India Meteorological Department, the national capital will face heavy rainfall in some parts of Delhi and Haryana on Wednesday.

Minto Bridge underpass reopens in Delhi

The area near Connaught Place was waterlogged due to heavy rains twice in three days. Due to waterlogging, a 56-year-old man lost his life after drowning on Sunday after his truck got stuck in eight feet-deep water on the Minto Bridge underpass.

After the tragic incident, the AAP government was criticised by the opposition party. However, CM Arvind Kejriwal said the government should work together instead of playing blame games with each other as the city is already facing crises because of coronavirus pandemic.
