Mumbai rains: As per the latest reports, Mumbai rains have waterlogged at least 38 spots after heavy rainfall today. The rainfall continued for three continuous hours causing traffic snarls in several areas including Andheri and Sion.

According to the Additional commissioner of police (ACP) Pravin Padval, waterlogging has been reported in 38 locations due to Mumbai rains due to which there were heavy traffic jams that were diverted in other locations.

Mumbai rains create traffic chaos in 38 locations

Deputy Commissioner of Police Sandeep Bhajibhakre stated that Andheri subway was under two feet water due to heavy Mumbai rains because of which it was closed and the traffic was diverted to other areas. As per Traffic authorities, waterlogging was also witnessed in areas like Gol Deul, Sion Road, Gandhi Market near King’s Circle, and Hindmata.

Reports say, Malad subway is also waterlogged and the traffic will be diverted to other directions if needed. Traffic movement was also reduced in areas near Churchgate Junction, Alankar Junction, Khetwadi, Worli Naka, Dadar Tram Terminus, Bandra Bandstand, Nana Chowk, JJ Junction, Mahalaxmi Temple Junction, Bhendi Bazaar, Bandra railway colony, and Anand Nagar.
