As per reports, the Union Ministry of Agriculture is ready with the chemicals to face the second wave of locusts attack in trhe National Capital Region (NCR). Govt officials also issued an advisory to the farmers who might face the second wave of locusts attack in their district.
According to the Agriculture Ministry, the second wave of locusts attack can occur in Gurgaon and Faridabad near Haryana Border. The Deputy Director of the Agriculture Ministry SN Sharma has warned the farmers and have prepared them for the attack.
NCR to face second wave of locusts attack
As per reports, UP govt is also preparing for the second wave of locusts attack in Noida. As per govt guidelines, farmers have been asked to beat loud drums, tin containers, utensils to prevent the locusts invasion on crops. Apart from this, officials are also planning to spray 5,000 litres of pestisides in affected areas. These chemicals will be sprayed from midnight to 7 AM.
It should be noted that as per reports, India will be the first country to control locusts attack by using drones. The govt officials released a statement which said second wave of locusts being tracked in Rajasthan, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh and special measures are being taken in advance.
