Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently inaugurated Asia’s largest solar power plant in Rewa, Madhya Pradesh. According to PM, the power project will help the state as well as the world for a clean environment.
The inauguration was done by the PM virtually where he stated that the 750-megawatt solar power plant will reduce 15 lakh tonne of carbon dioxide annually. According to him, the solar power plant is sure, pure, and secure and is the best project for the 21st century.
The PM added in the virtual conference that Rewa has scripted history as it is identified with mother Narmada and white tiger and now Asia’s largest solar power plant will be a part of it.

PM also congratulated the people of Madhya Pradesh and gave them best wishes. The Rewa power plant project will make the entire MP a big centre of energy. In the virtual inauguration Madhya Pradesh’s Governor Anandiben Patel, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Oil Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, and Union Minister of renewable energy RK Singh participated.
As per PM, India is moving towards new developments and the need for energy is also increasing. However, self-sufficient electricity is very important. The solar energy power plant will become the most attractive market of every in India. Around Rs 138 crore have been given to RUMSL for development. As per reports, the energy will also be supplied to the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC).
