Rahul Gandhi Targets Niti Aayog and central government over coronavirus predictions on Friday, saying the “genius” Niti Aayog had predicted that the nationwide lockdown would ensure that no fresh COVID-19 cases from May 16.
Rahul Gandhi, by targeting Niti Aayog, posted a graph shared by the government, tweeted, “The geniuses at Niti Aayog have done it again. I’d like to remind you of their graph predicting the Govt’s national lockdown strategy would ensure no recent Covid cases from tomorrow, May 16.”

Meanwhile, the Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Friday announced many relief measures for the agricultural sector and its allied activities included creation of Rs. 1 Lakh crore as an Agri-Infrastructure fund for farmers.
The total number of coronavirus positive stood at 81,970 at 8 am, according to the Ministry of Health. Earlier in the day, World Bank also approved a special economic package of $1 million to support the nation’s fight against the novel coronavirus pandemic.
There are 51,401 active cases of the coronavirus, while 27,919 coronavirus patients have been cured. The death toll also rose to 2,649 while one person has migrated.
