The main priest of Ram Mandir Janmabhoomi Temple, Pandit Pradeep Das has tested COVID-19 positive and along with him, 16 police officers who had been deployed for the safety of the temple premises too have tested positive for Covid-19.
Ram Mandir Bhoomi Poojan: 16 policemen, Chief priest, test Covid-19 positive before August 5
Ram Mandir Bhoomi Poojan is supposed to be held on August 5, 2020, and on the auspicious occasion of Ram Mandir first day of construction, Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with his staff would be gracing the event. The event of Ram Mandir Bhoomi Poojan would only see around 200 guests and the guest list is still not out.
In the line of the Ram Mandir Bhoomi Poojan chief priest and 16 policemen turning out to be COVID-19 piste, the administration is now working towards a newer strict regime and following up on who these people came in contact with during past few days.
All other priests due to the chief priest testing COVID-19 positive will undergo the test. Other have been quarantined till further notice.
