Maharashtra Chief minister Uddhav Thackeray offered special prayers on the occasion of Ashadi Ekadashi at the Lord Vitthal temple in Pandharpur today. Uddhav Thackeray prayed for the betterment of Maharashtra and the world that is suffering from coronavirus crises.

Maharashtra Chief minister Uddhav Thackeray offered special prayers on the occasion of Ashadi Ekadashi at the Lord Vitthal temple in Pandharpur today. Uddhav Thackeray prayed for the betterment of Maharashtra and the world that is suffering from coronavirus crises.

However, this was the first time that Thackeray visited Pandharpur temple as a CM. Uddhav Thackeray said he prayed for a miracle to happen so that the world becomes free from COVID-19 pandemic as people are tired of wearing masks and have given up struggling for their lives. He also added there’s no medicine and cure for this disease and he wants people to live a healthy and happy life again.

Uddhav Thackeray offers prayers to overcome COVID-19 crises

CM and his spouse attended the morning prayers today at the Lord Vitthal temple in Pandharpur on the festival of Ashadi Ekadashi, this tradition has been going on for a long time. CM’s son Aditya also accompanied him during the prayers, he is also a state’s environment and tourism minister.

This year the temple authorities kept the celebrations very low-key because of the ongoing pandemic. The temple administration has also decided to close the temple from July 1 to 15 amid COVID-19 as the cases are increasing day by day and social distancing is a must.
