Recently, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi took to social media and shared a post saying Agra has faced 28 deaths within 48 hours due to coronavirus. After the news broke out, Agra District Magistrate, Prabhu N Singh served a notice to Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi to correct the figures shared in the tweet as they are wrong figures and will create panic in the city.
However, before sending the notice Agra DM corrected Priyanka on Twitter and told her these are wrong figures. But the Congress leader again Tweeted the same figures saying the situation in Agra is worst in Delhi but the UP government is not releasing the actual figures.

Priyanka Gandhi also mentioned in her post that the UP government is hiding the true figures and following ‘No Test- No Corona’ policy. However, as per the Agra DM, the figures mentioned in the post are wrong and will create confusion and chaos among the Agra people.
According to the DM, the correct figures are that till now 1,139 Covid-19 positive cases have been found in Agra out of which 79 people have died. He has also asked Priyanka Gandhi to take back her statement within 24 hours as it creating confusion.
