A mother-daughter duo during the late evening hours of Uttar Pardesh lockdown set themselves on fire outside the Chief Mister of Uttar Pradesh office in Lucknow over the fact that the police hasn’t been helping them in a dispute filed against their neighbours over a drain. Moreover, with the opposite party, the police officers are teaming up and harassing the mother, daughter duo.
Both the women have burn injuries, whereas one is in a critical state and currently admitted in the hospital. The police commissioner Naveen Arora in the inaction of police case in Amethi during Uttar Pardesh lockdown has said that the two women- Mother and daughter tried to kill themselves by burning themselves, but were saved by the police. They will also be tested for COVID-19.
Uttar Pardesh Lockdown

Two police officers where the case has been filed have been suspended during the Uttar Pardesh lockdown. The case is about land and drains dispute and due to the lack of justice received by the mother, daughter duo, they tried to self immolate themselves outside the CM office in Lucknow.
Currently, Uttar Pardesh lockdown is underway and until any further notice every week Friday to Monday morning would be a tight lockdown period.
