Famous Bollywood director Wajid Khan passed away in Mumbai on Sunday. He was suffering from complications in renal ailment and COVID-19. He was 42 years of age, and his death brought a shock wave in Bollywood. His final rites were done in Mumbai at the early hours.

Wajid khan admitted to Surana Hospital and Research Centre in Chembur.  He had an infection that the doctor said may have developed when undergone a kidney transplant while Dr. Prince Surana confirmed that he died due to complications from a renal ailment and COVID-19 infection.

His fellow music director Salim Merchant was devastated by his death, his tweet said, “Devastated with the news of the passing away of my brother Wajid of Sajid -Wajid fame. May Allah give strength to the family. Safe travels bro @wajidkhan7 you’ve gone too soon. It’s a huge loss to our fraternity. I’m shocked & broken. Inna Lillahi wa Inna ilayhi raji’un.”

Priyanka Chopra tweeted, “Terrible news. The one thing I will always remember is Wajid bhai’s laugh. I was always smiling. He is gone too soon. My condolences to his family and everyone were grieving. Rest in peace, my friend. You are in my thoughts and prayers. @wajidkhan7”
