Superstar Shah Rukh Khan has thanked Brazilian author Paulo Coelho for appreciating Sanjay Mishra-starrer’ Kaamyaab’, which was produced by Shah Rukh’s production company Red Chillies Entertainment. He said he was “moved” that the movie resonated with the bestselling writer.
Directed by Hardik Mehta, ‘Kaamyaab’ is a story about the struggles faced by actors in Bollywood while trying to achieve success and make a name for themselves in the industry.
Taking to Twitter, Coelho had called ‘Kaamyaab’ the “tragedy of art.” Replying to Coelho, Shah Rukh said he decided to take up the project as it connected with him.
Saw the film when it was doing Festival rounds and it touched a chord with the whole team at @RedChilliesEnt Am so moved you appreciate. It’s a sad truth that character actors get forgotten. Look after yourself my friend and be safe & healthy https://t.co/4uKm1Zf5S2

Veteran actor Mishra also joined the conversation and said: “many heroes have lost at the hands of life’s betrayal.” Talking about the film, he further wrote, “@paulocoelho but the irony is here audience thinks only comedy is entertainment, #Kaamyaab is not a comedy, it’s a slice of life.”
“If my father would have been alive today, he would have felt very happy, reading these words you have written for me,” an emotional Mishra tweeted while also offering his tributes to the Brazilian actor Migliaccio, saying that his work will stay alive in the hearts of his audience forever.
‘Kaamyaab’ released March 6, 2020, and is currently streaming on Netflix. Its cast includes Deepak Dobriyal, Sarika Singh, Isha Talwar, and Avtar Gill, among others.
