According to Cricket Australia chairman Earl Edings, T20 World Cup will not be possible in the current situation amid coronavirus and will be postponed further. He also added that it is impossible for 16 teams to gather at one place in such crises.

Australia chairman Earl Edings asserted T20 World Cup has to be postponed because there are travel restrictions in many countries due to novel coronavirus and the idea seems very unrealistic to call 16 teams together in Australia.
According to reports, the ICC after the board meeting held last week has postponed the tournament for a month. However, there are speculations that IPL will be organised in place of the tournament but no official statement about the same has been made yet.
ICC plans to shift T20 World Cup amid COVID-19
COVID-19 has affected many countries including Australia where around 7000 cases were reported. As per the Australian PM Scott Morrison, T20 World Cup can be conducted with seating of 40,000 people in the stadium.
It should be noted that ICC’s last meeting was postponed to next month but BCCI has already given its statement saying it will depend on the Indian government whether the Indian team will be a part of the T20 World Cup or not.
